Holly was adopted as a kitten on December 25, 1982. We got her the Christmas before I was born, so adjusting to not having her has been very difficult after 17 years with her. She was beautiful.

Quietly and with dignity, Hannah left this world for the next tonight. My heart is breaking, I don't know how I will go on without her. It wasn't her awful heart disease but the dreaded cancer that took my angel. She entered our lives like a warm, sweetly scented breeze. That is also how she left.
I cannot stop crying. Even my darling husband cried at her passing and Mike never cries. She touched our lives so profoundly with her courage and love.
My God, why couldn't she have come sooner? We adopted her about August 1, 1999. Her song surely is for us tonight "How do you mend a broken heart?"
Dunkin, the Little Warrior

A small child says, "Mommy, tell the story again...I don't want to forget."
The Mother says, "Very well, then, come close and here is the story..."
On July 5, 1999...two teenaged boys in Gainsville, Georgia (USA) attatcked an eight week old kitten playing in its own backyard. The two kicked him, swung him around by his tail, then drenched him with gasoline and set him on fire with three clicks from a cigarette lighter.
The kitten's name was Dunkin.
Dunkin; the name is Celtic in origin meaning "Warrior" and with a warrior's heart, Dunkin fought a gallant battle to overcome his wounds. But little Warrior was not to win this battle. He succumbed to his mortal wounds, dying in the early morning hours of Saturday, July 10, 1999.

REMEMBER DUNKIN!
A fiery death at the tender age of eight weeks...his convicted killers both sentenced to boot camp (a few weeks) for the taking of a harmless life.
God bless the beasts and the children...for in this world they have NO voice.
Fifteen years ago a coworker told me he was being transferred to Washington, DC, and said "Do you want my cat?" I replied "No thanks, I have enough cats." So he said, "Well, I guess we'll have to take her to the Pound, because she can't come with us." I said "Bring me the cat."
He brought her to the house and put her down. She ran off to a bedroom - all I saw was a flash of muddy colors and a lot of fur. Two days later, my roommate accidentally left the back door open, and Su-Su escaped. A few days later, she appeared at the back door, wanting to come back in - we've been best friends ever since.
Su-Su was a long-haired tortie with big eyes. She was 3 years old when she came to live with me, and
had been spayed after her first litter. She'd been an outside/inside cat; she adapted to being an inside-only cat without complaint. She wasn't very affectionate, until one year when she became the "only cat" of the house, due to a bad live-in relationship I was in at the time. That year, she took to comforting me by jumping up on the keyboard, spending hours just purring at me and letting me pet
and brush her. She came to love the brushing, and I could just ask, "Su-Su, brush?" and she'd come
running over. She wasn't much on being held, though - she'd start squirming after 45 seconds or so.
She'd always had a healthy appetite, but eventually I realized that she was eating and eating and eating and seemed to be getting smaller. A round of tests revealed a thyroid problem, and she was put on Tapazole. At her last checkup, perhaps 3 months ago, the vet said she was doing fine, although I felt in my heart there was something wrong.
I was right: At nearly 18 years old, Su-Su has simply faded away. The vet and I helped her across the Rainbow Bridge this morning. She kissed me and purred, then fell silent.
Born April 25, 2000 Became an AngelKitty August 3, 2000
I lost my precious Maine Coon kitten August 3, 2000 to the dreaded FIP virus. He was with me but a short two months, and I never thought I would have him leave so soon. He was a treasure; he was a Silver Classic and he was beautiful. He would play in a shoe box and take a paper towel roll that was empty and bat it around. He was a playful happy kittten until the dreaded FIP stuck, then he didn't want to play any longer or eat a lot. He slept and waited for me in the back bedroom because I couldn't leave him out with my other Kits, so not only was he a sick Baby he was also a lonely one. But I want to try to remember the times he would climb into bed with me barely able to make it up climbing the covers until he made it up; he was a wiry lille man.
I have many memories. They may be short but are so, so sweet and one day I will again meet my Precious Smokey, and as I called him my "Mokey Man."
