In our hearts, the cherished memories live on... This site is created in loving memory of our beloved FancyBoy and JoJo.
"Because a man is higher up on the evolutionary scale than the cat doesn't necessarily mean that a man's death is more painful for those he leaves than for those who have lost a cat. Should one mourn more for an indifferent uncle than for a devoted and loving pet? It would be a very strange person who did so." ~ Louis J. Camuti, DVM

She is our little Holly Angel and she watches over all of us. She is a Rainbow Bridge greeter. I know this because she was a greeter at home, alway climbing to a place where she could give us a hello kiss. We miss her and we love her. Rest in peace, little shooting star.
Goodbye dear Tigger, my best of friends for all these years. You've seen me through the first half of my adult life, always by my side. I will never forget you, and always will love you.

Life: too short; for us exceptionally happy. Death: too sudden; for us so painful. Your memory lives on, within our hearts, within our minds for eternity. May you have found yourself true happiness, Mate. We'll always love you, cherishing the love and memories that we still have for you.

My beautiful baby Oreo - you left me yesterday 2-17-99, today I am so lost. I miss you, I love you, I want you to come back to me. The pain is so intense. My heart feels like it will explode, my head is pounding from crying so much. I am so sorry I didn't protect you better. Goodbye for now my wonderful baby. Love Mommy
Note from Susie: Many of us are owned by cats and most of us provide some sort of scratching post. Some are simple little posts; others are huge towering, "multi-roomed" condos. Truth to tell, the latter is probably every cat's secret dream of sinking a claw into or, from a high condo room, declaring royalty by looking down on us mere humans. And I, for one, derive great pleasure in observing the scratching ritual - the intentness as they scratch away, steadily working up to rhythmic clawing and stretching. A simple, but graceful performance in a cat's daily grooming routine.
Cats need to exercise their claws against materials that pull off the dead "husks." Scratching also exercises and stretches the muscles. A scratching post can make a big difference in a cat's physical fitness.
Yet how many of us give those scratching posts a frequent "maintenance check?" Has the post taken on a Tower of Pisa appearance, has it begun to creak, shake and wobble? Then it needs to be carefully gone over for weakened areas.
Daily scratching and stretching by even a kitten or small cat will gradually weaken supports, bolts and screws - from the smallest to the largest posts and condos. The cat uses force when stretching and clawing against the post, and then forcibly pulls the claws out with every use. More frequent checks should be made in a multi-cat household.
Get out your screwdriver. Scratching posts must be fixed sturdily in place. All it takes is a first-time tip-over for a cat to avoid that scratching post forever. Or...a more tragic accident...
I'm so sorry, Teri, about your devastating loss of Oreo. Those reading about Oreo will know to check scratching posts regularly for wear and tear. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
