Mission Statement of Pawprints and Purrs, Inc.

The specific purposes for which Pawprints and Purrs, Inc. (P&PI) is organized are as follows:

To provide an animal educational service to the public; to prevent cruelty to animals; to effect social change in this country and abroad to ensure that animals are regarded as loving companions; to disseminate humane educational materials for animals; to provide emergency foster care for pets at risk, abuse, and victims of domestic violence; to assist in finding loving and responsible homes for cats and dogs locally, including but not limited to transporting to homes throughout the state of Louisiana and nationally; to alleviate the overpopulation problem in the communities by assisting in spay/neuter campaigns; to work cooperatively with Caddo Parish Animal Control in placing shelter animals; to establish a mutual support network amongst rescue organizations and independent cat and dog rescuers and feral cat care givers; to assist in mobile adoptions throughout the Parish at scheduled locations; to provide sponsorship of unadoptable cats and dogs (e.g. those who are geriatric, physically, mentally, or emotionally handicapped, suffering from a disease, condition, or chronic behavioral or sociable problems); and to provide and regularly maintain a user-friendly, informational, and resourceful web site advocating animal awareness and well-being.

About Us:

We are a small non-profit animal organization located in Northwest Louisiana, consisting of all volunteers. Our organization has no employees, no administrative fees, and no professional fund-raisers. We rely entirely upon public donations for food and medical care for the animals. The animals receive 100% of the donations.

Tax Status:

Pawprints and Purrs, Inc. is a Louisiana non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation. Our state registration number is 35632564N.

We have a tax-exempt status with the IRS (EIN 56-2430375). Any donations made to us are fully tax-deductible in the United States.

Memorial Gifts and Honoring Rainbow Bridge Pets on Special Occasions:

If you would like to make a memorial gift or to honor your own Rainbow Bridge Pet on special occasions, we can do that for you for a minimum donation of $15. An acknowledgment will be sent to the family you've specified in your name, or to you for your own pet's memorial.
