How to get a cat out of a tree?
1.) Some will profess to do nothing - the cat will come down in its own sweet time. However, with whining children and mother gnashing her teeth this is a difficult approach.
2.) I found a good ladder properly supported works well. The main trick is to climb the ladder without thinking about the cat, for they can read your mind, and if they realize how terrified you are they will only go higher in the tree (see #1). I found thinking about the quantum nature of the universe quite helpful, and in fact, the cat climbed onto my shoulder; we have been the best of friends ever since. - Cats Cradle
