Tigger's Diary - Part III

August 7 - This morning Lucky and Tig were at their best in giving us opportunities to snap photos of their little games and play. We were able to get about three or four of them with their arms wrapped around each other, in "let's just stretch and touch pawsies", and in their all time favorite, wrestling.
And then it was time to go. She went willingly into the carrier and off we went. She cried pitieously for miles, each new outbreak tore at my heart. Her bewildered expression and soulful look in her eyes really caused me to feel as though we've betrayed her. Finally I could take no more and held her in my lap with a handtowel covering her for the last two hours. The towel must have made her feel comfortable and secure, for her pitiful little cries stopped.
And then Meowmie Crick arrived with lots of ohs and ahs over her new baby. Tigger will be so happy in her new home - a home with much love, comfort and companionship for all. She's a wonderful lady and Tigger's home will be purrfect.
Tigger brought so much joy to us. I'll never forget this little cat - a true ambassador of compassion - a little cat whose life has touched so many and brought even more together as the Cats Voice. As we drove away, I left part of my heart behind.
To Tigger, the sweetest and most loving little cat anyone could ever hope to know - you're in our hearts forever, Little One. You brought so many smiles, and so much laughter and joy in our lives during your brief stay in our home - you'll always be part of our lives, our little sunshine. On September 7, 1998, two months after we lost our beloved KC to cancer, our Sunshine came back to the USA to live with us. A wonderful gift from a wonderful friend during our time of great sorrow. We love you, dear Crick!
